Scot Labourdette
As a native of New Orleans, Scot J. Labourdette graduated from Brother Martin High School, and thereafter received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Orleans, where he graduated with honors. Prior to obtaining his law degree, Scot was employed for many years at a New Orleans Savings and Loan as a Computer Programmer.
While earning his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School in New Orleans, Scot was a member of the Moot Court staff, taught Moot Court to first year students, and spent two semesters defending the indigent in Orleans Parish Criminal Court while a member of the Loyola Law Clinic.
Prior to his graduation, Scot clerked for several large law firms in the New Orleans area, and upon his admission to the Louisiana Bar, was hired as a Personal Injury Attorney for one of the largest Personal Injury firms in the South, where he successfully represented hundreds of personal injury clients in both the New Orleans and Shreveport areas.
Scot started his private practice career in 2003 when he and another attorney from his previous Firm, purchased a building on Canal Street and formed the law firm of LoCicero & Labourdette, L.L.C. As a managing partner in this Firm, Scot continued to handle primarily personal injury cases in an about the New Orleans area. Shortly before Hurricane Katrina, Scot opened the Labourdette Law Firm, located the firm in the Energy Center in the heart of the Central Business District, and continued to handle all types of personal injury cases. The majority Labourdette Law Firm’s clientele were repeat previous clients, along with a growing area of his practice from other Attorney referrals. Scot concentrated his practice on personal injury cases of all types: automobile accidents, 18 wheeler accidents, slip and falls, and other premises liability matters, and has handled claims from $1,000.00 to $1,000,000.00.
Because Scot wanted to provide to his clients a law firm that could handle all of their legal needs, in addition to their personal injury concerns, in 2009 he became partners with Eric C. Labourdette, a local attorney with vast experience in criminal law, family law, and other civil law matters.
Scot is admitted to practice before the Louisiana Supreme Court, all Louisiana State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and is member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, and The Louisiana Association for Justice (formerly the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association).
Scot can be reached at the New Orleans office of Labourdette Law Firm, (504) 799-2277, to discuss any of your legal concerns.
